Today I am back from vacation and stopped by the Grandfather Golf and Country Club bridge and spillway project, and I am pleased to offer photos of the job.  We installed a lightweight mosaic river stone on poured concrete walls, as well, as doing repairs the other walls of the spillway.  Additionally, we built 5 stone columns supporting the timber guardrail with a pattern to match the clubhouse.
Picture
The columns were built from stone quarried in Crab Orchard TN. The design was taken from the stonework on the GFCC clubhouse.

The columns provide a a sturdy an attractive way to mark the entrance and exit to the bridge.

The stone for the spillway walls is from Marion NC. Today as we walked around, water was pouring across the spillway, making for wet feet.

The column that is defining the entry and exit to the bridge is very charming. I always find the stone work is very attractive and but the headstones from David M Gibson because their stone work is incomparable and they are the master of hand crafted stone.
